We are delighted to announce that the next BILETA (British & Irish Law, Education and Technology Association) conference will take place in Manchester on 11th & 12th April 2011 at MMU School of Law.
This year’s conference will focus on the balance between supporting the positive development of technology for the global good, whilst minimising potential dangers and threats.
The conference aims to cover a range of key issues including:

A prize of £100 will be awarded to the best postgraduate conference paper. To be eligible for the contest a position paper of approximately 3000 words needs to be submitted by the 26th of March, to c.easton@mmu.ac.uk.
Please state on the submission that all contributors are postgraduates and wish to be considered for the prize. The winning paper will be announced at the conference dinner on Monday the 11th April.
The response to the initial BILETA Call For Papers has been excellent.
In order to allow contributions from the widest possible sphere of interest, a
decision has been taken to extend the Call For Papers until the 25th of
February.
